I drank a beer while sitting next to Bates Battaglia last night. That's just like going to a hockey game, right?
That's almost better than a hockey game, depending where your seats are.

It might have to be "Beers with Bitter Bates Battaglia" - he seemed kinda down. Perhaps he was just unhappy about having to go back to Toronto and hang around with Darcy Tucker for two more years.
I think maybe he wouldn't have signed if he was thinking that. Maybe he misses the puck bunnies? Maybe he's wondering if the supposed "big trade" many Leafs fans are waiting for involves him?
Maybe he's just a sad drunk?
